Insignia joins Indonesian fintech platform’s $11.2m round

AwanTunai, an Indonesia-based fintech platform, announced that it has raised US$11.2 million in its latest round.

  • AwanTunai plans to use the fresh capital to continue its expansion across Indonesia.
  • Accial Capital and Bank OCBC NISP have also extended debt facilities of more than US$45 million to the fintech firm.
  • The startup has helped over 8,000 micromerchants purchase inventories from more than 160 suppliers and apply for loan facilities through its platform.
  • The Jakarta-based company earlier raised US$4.3 million in its series A round, which was led by Insignia Venture Partners and AMTD group.
