Hong Kong-based crypto firm Auros has raised US$17 million in a funding round led by Vivienne Court, with Bit Digital and Trovio participating.

Following the investment, Vivienne Court co-founder Marcel Klooss and Bit Digital co-founder Hughes Ching will join Auros’ board.

This is the company’s first round after it saw around US$20 million in assets affected by the FTX collapse. It was released from a court-supervised provisional liquidation just last week after a five-month process.

Founded by Benjamin Roth and Brendan Scott in 2019, Auros was developed for the algorithmic trading and market making of digital assets. It has partnered with dozens of Web3 projects and provides liquidity to over 30 major crypto exchanges.

The fresh funds will be used to develop its market-making offering and scale its derivatives solutions business.

Other investors in the round include:

  • Epoch Capital
  • Primal Capital
  • Senior alumni from Optiver
