According to the announcement, the new entity will invest in film and broadcast content creation, as well as new media technologies, both in the region and internationally.
It plans to finance content producers through equity involvement and bridge loans and it will also create financing and consulting solutions for specific projects and media companies.
With Aurora’s help, investors will have access to a portfolio of projects and companies, with the fund taking care of risk management and due diligence.
The company says it’s finalizing an investment partnership with a “leading Singapore hedge fund.”
Aurora Media Holdings has participated in film and broadcast projects like upcoming US-Singapore-Philippines film 100 Yards, Indonesia-set crime drama Lanun, and documentary series To Democracy, With Love.
