Asiasoft publishes its first decent mobile game, Advance Dino

Asiasoft seems to be sticking to the mobile game plan announced by its CEO Pramoth Sudjitporn. The regional publisher has published a Clash of Clans-esque multiplayer strategy game with dinosaurs called Advance Dino.

Developed by China’s NetEase, Advance Dino is probably the most polished game Asiasoft has released so far. Its first mobile offering was Minox from Singapore-based studio Ubergamers, the second being the hero defense game For The Tribe, which blatantly made use of Blizzard IP.

Regional publishers like Asiasoft and Garena seem to have little respect for intellectual property. Garena recently published the English version of its Chinese-language game Dao Tao Yin Xiong. Although the English version is called House of Heroes, the game’s Chinese name directly translates to Dota Hero, and features many characters from Warcraft III Dota.

While not featuring the most original game mechanics, Advance Dino is cute and pretty entertaining. Unlike Clash of Clans, Advance Dino allows you to guide your “hero” dinosaur while attacking enemy bases, ensuring that he doesn’t die because the AI got distracted by a nearby building. This hero dinosaur can also learn skills to be used in combat.

As with similar games in the genre, Advance Dino features login bonuses, clan features, and a single-player campaign.

Advance Dino is available for iOS and Android.
