1. Salarium | Philippines (Techlist Profile)

Salarium is an end-to-end payroll system providing time and attendance keeping, payroll and expense processing, and salary disbursement that counts global logistics leader DHL as client. The startup was the overall grand winner of Seedstars World (SSW), the global startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scene.


2. FirstCry | India (Techlist Profile)

Founded in 2010, FirstCry.com is an online shopping store offering a range of baby care products and toys. The startup recently announced a in Series D round this week.


3. Hao Chushi | China (Techlist Profile)

Hao Chushi lets users hire nearby chefs and cooks to come to their home and make a meal right in the customer’s own kitchen. After registering on the app, users can hire nearby chefs and cooks on Hao Chushi in a similar on-demand manner as they would hire a car driver on Uber. The startup announced a successful angel funding round and will soon close a series A round.


4. Yumist | India (Techlist Profile)

Launched in October 2014, Yumist is an online food delivery startup that allows customers to place orders through an Android app. The company makes all of its own food and ensures that the meal is delivered within 30 minutes.


5. Grouvly | Hong Kong (Techlist Profile)

Grouvly, which launched on January 2, is a social platform arranges dates for groups of three friends looking to meet three other members of the opposite sex. When a match is found based on common Facebook interests, Grouvly sets a venue and time for everyone to meet at. Each person in both groups pays a fee through the app, which covers the cost of the first drink.


6. JOB Forward | Singapore (Techlist Profile)

Singapore-based social recruitment website Job Forward which recently unveiled a new service called Startup Essence that allows companies to create well-designed recruitment pages to attract and engage talent. The company also closed a six-figure seed investment from COENT Venture Partners.
