1. Kalading | China (Techlist Profile)
Beijing-based Kalading is a startup that connects auto repairmen to drivers with busted vehicles. Users in need of a quick fix for their car can summon a repairman through Kalading’s WeChat account or by calling a phone number. The company just closed a series A round led by CBC Capital, with participation from Geek Partners and Gobi Partners.
2. Capital Match | Singapore (Techlist Profile)
Singapore-based Capital Match uses its website and technology to enable peer-to-peer (P2P) lending via crowdfunding for small and medium-sized businesses. On Capital Match, the borrower can make a request for a loan and then forward all the necessary documentation to the company. After approval, the loan request goes up on the platform, where potential investors can review it via their own investor accounts and decide whether to contribute to the loan.
3. Toost | India (Techlist Profile)
In near real time, Toost can find you a service provider your friends trust. It does that by using your phone graph [from your phone’s contacts, call flow, and location data] to tap into your friends’ circle, as well as friends of your friends, and mine out recommendations in and around your location.
4. Livaza | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Founded in February 2015, Indonesian furniture ecommerce site Livaza aims to create the best online shopping experience for customers to get their hands on high-end luxurious furniture products at affordable prices. It also offers young designers an opportunity to submit their own furniture designs to the company.
5. Applecrumby & Fish | Malaysia (Techlist Profile)
Launched in October 2012, Malaysia-based Applecrumby & Fish is an ecommerce store for safe and organic baby products, ranging from skincare and toiletries, to food and supplements, to gear and toys.
6. Sociabuzz | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Indonesian influencer marketing site SociaBuzz is a platform that makes it possible for advertisers to tap into the power of “buzzers” – people with popular social media accounts and a high number followers – in order to promote their services or products on social media. Since its launch in March 2012, SociaBuzz claims to have built up a network of 2,700 such buzzers and served large local clients such as Honda, Toyota and Bank Central Asia.
