1. Cube | Australia
Cube, developed by Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP) graduate SwatchMate, is a a color detector gadget that allows users to detect colors even while on the move.
Now the startup has a Kickstarter campaign – that’s already going very well – to raise funds for its manufacturing process.
2. StockRadars | Thailand
Launched in August by Siamsquared Technologies, StockRadars is a stock analysis app that simplifies information for investors to help them better understand the stock market, thereby decreasing the risks involved.
3. DewiBola | Indonesia
DewiBola is an online soccer news site in Indonesia which also focuses on pictures of (very loosely soccer-related) sexy girls. The site has achieved great stats in the three months since its launch earlier this summer.
In addition, the company has also revealed that it secured a major funding round led by Sequoia Capital.
4. Carousell | Singapore
Singapore’s Carousell is an online marketplace that allows you to snap, buy, or sell your pre-loved or newly-designed fashion products. This week, the startup raised seed funding led by Rakuten, with follow-on investments by Golden Gate Ventures, 500Startups, and a few other angel investors.
5. Olacabs | India
India’s Olacabs combines a taxi booking function with a car rental service that aggregates from fleets across the country. The company secured series B funding this week from Tiger Global and Matrix Partners to help it expand to smaller cities.
