Shopback is an ecommerce cashback startup based in Singapore. The company receives a commission for every sale it generates on various ecommerce sites and it then passes some of the earnings back to shoppers.
2. BeamAndGo | Philippines (Techlist Profile)
Philippines-based BeamAndGo is a platform that enables Filipinos from anywhere in the world to provide for their families in the Philippines by directly purchasing goods and services in the form of gift certificates from merchants.
3. Daily Rounds | India (Techlist Profile)
Bangalore-based Daily Rounds, founded by a doctor, is building a mobile app-based academic support system for doctors. The app app gives clinical cases, quizzes, news, and other medical content to the doctors in its network.
4. Qerja | Indonesia (Techlist Profile)
Qerja lets jobseekers in Indonesia access user-generated salary information and overall reviews of companies in the archipelago. The site aims to empower job hunters, who might otherwise commit blindly to lower-than-average employment packages offered by some companies. The company secured a series A round of funding from a venture fund operated by SoftBank and local telco Indosat.
5. ChargeBee | India (Techlist Profile)
Chennai-based ChargeBee provides its clients with an easy plug-and-play interface to accept payments through a choice of 30 gateways. It has a comprehensive product that addresses recurring billing needs of businesses, including setting price plans, creating promotional coupons, and generating email notifications. It also provides subscription billing analytics for business growth.
6. Sugar | Singapore (Techlist Profile)
Launched in 2014, Singapore-based Sugar is a deals discovery mobile app with a novel process to give users discounts. It has several actions that users can take to bring down the price of a deal. Users can ‘skim’ deals by pressing a button, which brings the price down, and then spread it further to friends who can skim it further to sweeten the deal. Once they’re happy with the price, they can purchase it.
