2. TinyMOS | Singapore (Startup Profile)
TinyMOS’ Tiny1 is designed for astrophotography – taking detailed pictures of the night sky. TinyMOS wants to make snapping pictures of the stars as easy for the average Joe as smartphones have made everyday photography.
3. Cuemath | India
Bangalore-based Cuemath has developed a learning-by-doing math curriculum for children with the help of mathematicians from India’s IITs and IIMs to Cambridge and Stanford University. The startup has announced its series A funding round from Sequoia India and Unitus Seed Fund.
4. Trax | Singapore (Startup Profile)
Singapore-based image recognition startup Trax applies computer vision technology to retail and the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. It enables FMCG brands to have more control over how their products are arranged on retailers’ shelves and helps consumers get more information on the products in front of them.
5. CreditVidya | India
CreditVidya is a startup that analyzes data to get credit scores. It claims to collect and analyze over 10,000 data points, from the way people top up their phones to what they do on social networks.
6. Midokura | Japan (Startup Profile)
Midokura is a company that specializes in network virtualization. Its enterprise and open source software allows users to expand private network infrastructure without additional hardware and without the variable costs that come with services like AWS.
