A device’s inability to listen to FM radio has always gotten my goat. Sure, nobody listens to the radio anymore, but have you stopped to think that it might be because they can’t?
Thanks to Sony, though, you can now sample the airwaves with your Playstation devices. The industry giant has announced a Playstation version of the TuneIn Radio app.
Users will be able to listen to over 100,000 live radio stations and two million on-demand programs like podcasts, concerts, and interviews. They’ll also be able to search for programs by keyword, category or genre. TuneIn is an existing online live radio service, and accounts from the web service or mobile apps can be used interchangeably with the Playstation app.
The TuneIn Radio app is available for free today on the Playstation 3, Playstation Vita and Playstation Vita TV for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand.
