Acheevit: Helping Salespeople Sell

This post is a part of our coverage of Startups in Asia (Singapore), Penn Olson’s first tech conference. Our full coverage of the event can be found here, for our RSS feed, click here.

The last startup to pitch at Startup Asia in Singapore was Acheevit (getacheevit.com), which aspires to provide real-time performance information and feedback to sales teams. There’s a clever gamification aspect at work here too, insofar as employees can earn trophies and medals at every step, working towards sales goals.

Users sign up with their company email, and can see what coworkers are doing in a social stream, so there’s opportunity for teammates to encourage each other as they work towards common goals. You can also see how employees compare, or view leaderboards and trophies.

From a manager’s point of view, they can post various challenges, or view insights on the website dashboard. They can also address problems by identifying and then contacting workers who are performing poorly.

Co-founder and managing director Nicky Szmala says that 70 percent of the largest companies implement game mechanics in companies. So he asserts that there are big market opportunities here, particularly in real estate or job search markets where employee performance is especially key. The startup in beta and is advised by Steven Goh, who we spoke with a our coffee chat session this morning.

Judges pointed out that feedback from salespeople would be especially useful to Acheevit going forward. Nicky explained that they have been watching the mig33 sales team recently in order to find out more about their target users.
