Apps Foundry’s First Playbook App Features Interactive Indonesia News
Mobile development company Apps Foundry, has released a local news application named Indonesia Terkini (or Indonesia’s Latest) for Blackberry Playbook users. With Indonesia Terkini, we can read news from varying national publishers.
Tempo Interaktif, The Jakarta Globe, DailySocial, TeknoUp, Urbanesia, InfoBank, Marketeers, and Autocar Indonesia are publishers who have cooperated with Indonesia Terkini to deliver interactive content to Playbook users.
Willson Cuaca, the CEO of Apps Foundry explained:
We see needs for curated content because information available on the web is excessive. Information overload has occurred. With Indonesia Terkini, we cooperate with media partners to serve selected information about Indonesia via the Blackberry Playbook.
Indonesia Terkini is Apps Foundry’s first application for RIM’s new tablet. Previously it had released iPad applications such as SCOOP, which allows users to download and read magazines; as well as Selera Nusantara, which teaches us how to cook indonesian dishes.
Apps Foundry also released Pikubo for Blackberry, a popular Japanese photo-sharing application.
Besides Indonesia Terkini, there is also another Playbook app in the wild that delivers Indonesian-related news. Kompas Daily, one of the largest newspaper networks in Indonesia, released its newspaper app for the tablet couple months ago.
There are more than a hundred Blackberry apps focused on Indonesia. Indonesia Terkini and other apps like it will go a long way towards enriching the digital world even more with valuable information about the country.
