Square Enix has an extensive library of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest remakes that you can download from the App Store and Google Play. This library is about to get just a bit larger with the addition of Dragon Quest IV on April 17, 2014.
Dragon Quest IV (DQ IV) was originally published on the NES as Dragon Warriors IV throughout the world, but when it was rereleased for the 3DS the game was officially called Dragon Quest IV: The Chapters of the Chosen.
The game is divided into five different chapters. The first four act as a backstory where you play as the different party members. In the final fifth chapter you play as the hero as he meets up with all of the characters from the previous four chapters.
This iOS and Android remake will use the same look as the 3DS remake, but the game needed a massive overhaul to fit on a smartphone. As you can see in the promotion video, like the Dragon Quest VIII remake, this game will be played in portrait mode which limits your view of the surrounding area.

Unfortunately only the Japanese release date has been announced, and there is no word as to whether or not Dragon Quest IV will make it to any other market. However if you are living in Japan, you can pick up this classic game on April 17, 2014 for 1,800 Yen ($18).
