Amoda secures new capital to offer hassle-free construction experience

Out of 10 construction projects in Indonesia, nine are delayed and seven are over budget due to labor-intensive processes and complex supply chains, according to property and construction startup Amoda.

Founded in October 2021, the company offers a dashboard for pricing, construction, and leasing information. Its platform lets prospective tenants find and inquire about a property, apply for a unit, and request repairs or maintenance.

Amoda has announced an undisclosed round of seed funding co-led by returning investor East Ventures and Living Lab Ventures. The funding will be used primarily to expand its product, technology, and operational capabilities.

“Construction with us is typically 10%-20% cheaper because we optimize the construction execution and material procurement process,” Robin Yovianto, co-founder and CEO of Amoda, tells Tech in Asia. “Integrating technology is imperative to make construction more scalable, predictable and sustainable.”

Based in Jakarta and Bandung, the startup has managed over 200 construction assets and worked with more than 50 contractors and 30 landowners. Some of its notable clients include state-owned companies PLN and PTPN, ecommerce major Blibli, and F&B firm Jiwa Group.

Amoda plans to expand into other construction segments, such as warehouse and residential, in the coming years.
