Y Combinator-backed personal finance app bags $3m in seed money

Pina, an Indonesia-based personal finance app, has raised US$3 million in a seed funding round led by AC Ventures, Vibe.VC, and Y Combinator.

Founded in 2021, Pina enables users to monitor their assets and invest their wealth in stock or mutual fund products. It also has a feature that lets users learn how to manage their finances properly.

The company currently has over 25,000 registered users and over US$4.1 million in assets under management (AUM). In a statement, Pina said its AUM doubled in February compared to the previous month and grew a further 18x in March.

The fintech firm was established by former Grab executive Daniel van Leeuwen, Trust Securities founder Christian Hermawan, former Zenius executive Hendry Chou, and former Fajar Kuntoro

Pina plans to use the fresh funding for product development and customer acquisition.
