Hi TIA Community!

I’m Sunita Kaur, managing director of Spotify Asia.

What’s it like to work for the worlds largest music streaming service? Pretty awesome! I work across all areas at Spotify and drive both growth and expansion across Asia. Our Asia HQ is right here in Singapore , where the team produces all things Asia from subscription offers to Marketing Campaigns to local playlists (did you like our ‘Hazed and Confused’ playlist? )

I was in print for the first 10 years of my career before moving into the digital world 10 years ago. I also went from working for large corporations to startups (Forbes, Facebook, Spotify) Being an immigrant instead of a native, I’ve learnt loads!

I am up for chatting about anything , but here are some questions that I tend to get often and love talking about:

• What is it like being a woman in tech/business
• Is streaming the future of entertainment?

Aside from work, I also work on a couple of passion projects. One is TalentTrust where we parachute in experts into charities to help them run the charity better. There are so many great people out there helping others , but may need help themselves when trying to run charity. Second is Etabu, where we are democratizing education in India. The couple of extra hours I have left in the day, I sleep.
