If you are a fan of tower defense games on mobile then this list is for you. We have explored the Apple app store and Google Play to find and test dozens of tower defense games made by Asian developers and have come up with the five that we had the most fun with.
We understand that fun is always subjective, but we are pretty sure you won’t be disappointed downloading any of the games below to give them a test run. Whether you are soft or hardcore, non-paying or paying gamers, these games should entertain you over the next few weeks. Give them a try and let us know which one is your favorite!
1. Little Commander World War 2

Developer: Cat Studio HK (Hong Kong)
The Good: Cute graphics and a very classic tower defense game mechanism. You build towers along a path to gun down advancing troops. Little Commander World War 2 serves different types of tower defense gamers ranging from casual to hardcore. The game doesn’t force you to buy coins if you are just a casual gamer, which is always nice. It’s also kind of cool that Little Commander World War 2 makes it social by allowing gamers to easily share screenshots of their tower empire.
The Bad: Annoying ads at the beginning. I also thought gamers could use some hints to get the game going.
2. Colosseum Defense

Developer: Gamevil (Korea)
The Good: Colosseum Defense isn’t a typical tower defense game. Instead of building towers, you are the tower, er, I mean hero shooting arrows and daggers! It has more action than most tower defense games, which could be a good and bad thing depending on your preference. The game is challenging as it requires a certain degree of real-time planning in terms of what weapon to use for different scenarios. You will find yourself switching weapons quite often to fend off monsters. I also like that you are able to upgrade the weapons in great detail, including power, knockback, and speed.
