Here’s what you missed at Tech in Asia’s inaugural Saigon Summit [Infographic]
Tech in Asia just made its events debut in Vietnam with the first Saigon Summit, which was held on May 30 at Gem Center in Ho Chi Minh City. We saw overwhelming support from our community, with over 1,000 attendees, 20 speakers, and 50 companies getting in on the action.
The theme for Saigon Summit was “Charting Vietnam’s Tech Future.” To navigate this topic, we brought together leaders, thinkers, and innovators from Southeast Asia’s top tech firms to explore the potential of Vietnam and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Apart from curated networking opportunities, Saigon Summit featured stage sessions that shone the spotlight on Vietnam’s growth story and the country’s role in Southeast Asia’s tech ecosystem.
We also hosted speakers from some of the country’s biggest tech companies. Le Hong Minh, founder and CEO of VNG, discussed the conglomerate’s journey, the growth of Vietnam’s tech sector, and how his role has changed over the last 20 years.
Niraan de Silva, CEO of VNPay operator VNLife, talked about the opportunities and complexities of running a tech business in Vietnam, while Nguyen Manh Tuong, executive vice-chairman and CEO at MoMo, spoke about the firm’s growth trajectory.
Leaders from regional firms such as Seek Asia CEO Peter Bithos, Xendit COO Tessa Wijaya, and Razer co-founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan, joined us as panelists at the event, adding international flavor and insights.
Curious about what else went down at Saigon Summit? Let’s get into the details:
