AI uses pilot-style checklists to help doctors decide safely

A heart surgeon, an airline pilot, and an institutional finance engineer identified a shared problem from their high-stakes fields. They saw medical software that failed to support doctors under pressure. 

Together, they founded GreyDx.AI to build a clinical co-pilot, applying aviation safety principles to medical decision-making based in Singapore.

😟 Problem

Doctors are under pressure to see as many patients as possible, often squeezing complex consultations into just 15-minute slots. Most medical software focuses on storing records rather than supporting decisions, while generic AI tools offer quick answers without explaining their reasoning, a risk for patient care.

This issue is most critical for general practitioners and independent clinic owners. They often work in isolation without the resources of large hospitals, with high-quality clinical tools prohibitively expensive, while free alternatives are unsafe for clinical use.

💡 Solution

GreyDx.AI builds a “glass box” ecosystem with a proprietary AI engine that provides transparent, evidence-based reasoning for its suggestions. This allows doctors to verify the AI’s logic instantly. 

The company offers two integrated products: 

• GreyDx Mini: An AI-powered clinical co-pilot that explains its work. It presents a structured reasoning path, citing the medical logic used to reach a conclusion.
  
• GreyDx CMS: An intelligent clinic management system. It embeds the AI engine to supervise workflows, suggest safety checks, and flag conflicting data in real time.

GreyDx.AI projects an annual recurring revenue of US$11.2 million by 2027. This is based on a bottom-up analysis of its target markets in Japan, Indonesia, Australia, and Thailand.

The company aims to capture 5% of 720,000 doctors and 10% of the 153,000 clinics across these four markets. This translates to 36,000 doctors at US$100 annually and 15,300 clinics at a baseline of US$500 per seat.
