Adtech unicorn AppsFlyer appoints ex-Oracle, Google exec for SEAPAC
American adtech startup AppsFlyer has appointed Joen van Driel to serve as its new vice president for sales for Southeast Asia Pacific (SEAPAC)
The appointment follows the company’s efforts to penetrate more deeply into high-growth markets in Southeast Asia, India, Japan, and Korea, according to a statement.

The new exec brings with him over 20 years of experience in strategic technology sales after spending the last 17 years in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Philippines. He has worked in leadership positions for companies such as Oracle, Adobe, Google Cloud, and Salesforce, which had previously invested in AppsFlyer through its VC arm Salesforce Ventures.
In his new position, van Driel will be in charge of driving results and developing a long-term strategy for the company while also focusing on new customer successes and bolstering AppsFlyer’s sales team. He will start in February and will be based in AppsFlyer’s SEAPAC hub in Bangkok.
“AppsFlyer is well-positioned to help marketers transform their businesses, and the mobile marketing industry continues to expand with the use of mobile apps wildly increasing day by day,” van Driel shared.
Founded in 2011, AppsFlyer provides marketers with a suite of measurement and analytics solutions. It has since expanded to serve over 12,000 brands and 7,000 tech partners.
