
Perx, the Mobile loyalty stamp card app, has passed along some interesting statistics through an email update to all users. Launched late last year, the startup has helped merchandisers generate 260,000 ‘chops’ (or stamps) across 600 active locations.
The app also provides exposure for merchandisers, recording over one million impressions on Facebook so far. The figure is fascinating given that the mobile app loyalty market is still new to many. Many merchandisers or users (with smartphones) aren’t quite used to the idea yet.
I contacted co-founder Andrew Roth who revealed that Perx currently has more than 60,000 users. Perx also has a campaign for merchandisers called “Chop Mob” which helped Coffee Bean in Singapore to increase its transaction by 50 percent.
The mobile loyalty app space also comes with some competitors including PointPal, Squiryl, and around Just two weeks ago, we also spotted Shoppening, a Thai app that aims to solve the problem of having too many membership cards and discount coupons, and puts them all in one mobile app.
