ABC Impact, a Singapore-based private equity firm, has announced the first close of its second fund. Dubbed the ABC Impact Fund II, it has hit over US$550 million in assets under management (AUM).
Launched in August 2023, the fund aims to invest in companies focused on creating social and environmental impact in Asia.
New and existing investors – which include Mapletree Investments, Temasek and its philanthropic arm Temasek Trust, as well as a Southeast Asian sovereign wealth fund – participated in the fundraise. ABC Impact Fund II expects its final close later this year.
Established in 2019, ABC Impact raised US$300 million for its inaugural fund. It invested in 11 companies across sectors such as financial and digital inclusion, climate and water solutions, and sustainable food and agriculture. The fund exited from Sunseap, a Singapore-based greentech firm now known as EDP Renewables APAC, in 2022.
