Humble in victory and gracious in defeat. We can learn a lot about players by how much respect they show their competitors, and Korean League of Legends player YongSoo is winning major points in China for his signature handshake and bow after matches.
The Invictus Gaming toplaner replaced long-time veteran PDD at the start of China’s League of Legends Pro League (LPL) Summer Split. Ever since, YongSoo has become increasingly popular amongst Chinese fans and showing that a little politeness goes a long way.
Although his handshake and bow may be a common thing in Korean culture, it’s an attitude we can (and should) all learn from. Win or lose, YongSoo is showing exemplary character, as opposed to some other Korean players in China.

Fellow Korean Actsin was not ready for handshake mode.
We are coining the term YongSoo right now: a handshake and bow given to an opposing player as a sign of respect. “Don’t be an ass man, give him a YongSoo.”

Tons of respect to them both. In an industry where bad manners and trashtalk have become the norm, we need to see more humble and professional players like these.
