Kart racing is about to get a lot more stylish with these Mario Kart 8 peripherals

Mario Kart 8 is just a couple of months away, and a Japanese company named Hori is looking to make the kart racer a bit more interesting with its stylish peripherals for the Wii U.

Along with the May 29, 2014 release of Mario Kart 8 you will also be able to pick up a Mario and Luigi themed steering wheel and GamePad cover. The Mario versions will be red and contain a white outline of Mario in his kart. The Luigi version will be green and contain a similar white outline on his GamePad cover.

Products

I can’t guarantee that these peripherals will improve your game, but they will look cool. You will be able to order the steering wheel for 1,143 Yen ($11.50) and the GamePad cover for 1,580 Yen ($15.80) at Hori’s website once they launch at the end of May.
