The biggest League of Legends tournament before Worlds concluded today in Paris, France, and lots of Asian teams and players were on the scene. Unfortunately, the time difference makes it a little inconvenient to watch some of these games, especially the later ones, in Asia. So in case you missed any of the action, here’s a round-up of all the action from the final day!
All-Star Challenges (Team Ice vs. Team Fire)
Archie (Ice) vs. Shy (Fire): Shy (Quinn) took some points back for Team Fire with a level three win over Archie (Varus) after nearly giving away the match on an ill-advised level one all-in that took him down to just a sliver of health.
Cool (Ice) vs. QTV (Fire): After yesterday’s success on Lee Sin, Cool picked the champion again, and so did QTV. And after an extended and back-and-forth battle, Cool picked and punched his way to the win. Maybe he should be playing jungle all the time!
Doublelift & Madlife (Ice) vs. Diamond & Bjergsen (Fire): Team Fire went for Fire with the Annie/Brand lane, and Ice picked Vayne and Kennen. Doublelift and Bjergsen both went down early, leading to a next kill wins situation. And while it was close, Bjergsen’s Annie stun ended up securing the final kill and the win for Fire.
Froggen (Ice) vs. WeiXiao (Fire): With Ice and Fire tied for points, it all came down to this 1v1. In a close battle, neither player got a kill, but Froggen ultimately secured the win for Ice by taking the tower down (which was another one of the win conditions).
Final winner: Team Ice!
