Play for $113,500 in the MSI Beat It League for Dota 2 and Starcraft II
Dota 2 and Starcraft II players in Southeast Asia, take note. Singapore’s Rapture Gaming Network is teaming up with MSI and games e-commerce website G2A.com for the MSI Beat It RGN League, which will offer a total prize pool of $113,500 for both games.
While the Starcraft II tournament still lacks further details as well as registration links, the Dota 2 playoffs are more than ready to kick off.
Dota 2 players from Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam must first take part in individual country qualifiers happening this month; after that, they’ll qualify for the SEA playoffs: the Rapture Gaming Network (RGN) leg of the league. There will also be two teams from a wildcard qualifier; details of that contest have yet to be revealed.
(See: Are you good enough to be one of Singapore’s Elite Four?)
The eight-team RGN League will serve as the Southeast Asia qualifier, with $5,000 worth of cash prizes and fully-paid-for travel and lodging for the team that places first. This team will represent Southeast Asia in the MSI Beat It Global 2014, which will be held in November in Taipei, Taiwan.
MSI Beat It games will be cast live in English by Beyondthesummit and Rapture Gaming Network, in Thai by Eclub Thailand, in Tagalog by MineskiTV, and in Vietnamese by Pewpew.
