WCA to have $3.2 million prize pool for PC and mobile game titles

Competitive gaming fans in China have something to look forward to, as World Cyber Arena (WCA) announced its October event to be held in Yinchuan, China.

The WCA event will have a total prize pool of 20 million RMB ($3.2 million) across five PC games (Dota 2, Hearthstone, World of Tanks, Crossfire, and Warcraft III) and two mobile games (CQB Online and Dota Legend). The prize distribution will be as follows:

CQB Online

Prize pool: 7 million RMB (~$1.1 million)
Champion: 3 million RMB (~$480,000)

Dota Legend

Prize pool: 7 million RMB (~$1.1 million)
Champion: 3 million RMB (~$480,000)

Dota 2

Prize pool: 2.9 million RMB (~$ 470,000)
Champion: 2 million RMB (~$ 320,000)

Hearthstone

Prize pool: 1.2 million RMB (~$ 190,000)
Champion: 600,000 RMB (~$95,000)

World of Tanks

Prize pool: 650,000 RMB (~$100,000)
Champion: 300,000 RMB (~$48,000 )
