In his new role, Finn will be in charge of forming Circles’ business strategies and help drive operational and financial growth, according to a statement.
“The telecom industry is mired in technical debt, with legacy systems driving the need for manual intervention, which leads to an inefficient operating model and a lackluster customer experience,” Finn said.
While he was at Digicel for over 11 years, Finn most recently served as group CCO at Veon, a digital mobile services firm with a global presence.
The new appointment follows reports saying that Circles held talks with Bridgetown Holdings, Peter Thiel and Richard Li’s blank-check firm, for a potential US$2.5 billion SPAC deal.
Rameez Ansar, Circles co-founder, recently said on stage at this year’s Tech in Asia Conference that the company “is trending” toward a run rate of up to US$200 million in revenue.
