Retail loans marketplace Deal4Loans has raised US$15 million from Franklin Templeton International Services (India). It will use the funds to develop intellectual property, build a platform for investment, and expand its presence in small business loans.
Run by Mywish Marketplaces, Deal4Loans was founded in 2009 by Rishi Mehra, who has an MBA from Durham University. The startup compares retail loans across six categories: home loans, personal loans, car loans, credit cards, loans against property, and education loans. It has 50 lending partners and seven million registered customers. It uses algorithms to gain customers and match them up with products.
Deal4Loans is present in 200 cities. It plans to expand to 350 cities and claims to have made a profit every quarter since its launch.
Applop
Software-as-a-service provider Applop Mobile Solutions, which helps users to make their own mobile apps, has raised a bridge round of funding from Green House Ventures Accelerator, an existing investor. A Bangalore-based angel investor also participated in the round.
Launched in July 2015 by husband-wife duo Rahul and Jyoti Singhal, Applop has raised around US$250,000 so far and hopes to close the current round at US$500,000. It claims to have nearly 3,000 clients.
