Apple’s iPad has more functions than I could probably count. But one of the most intriguing applications of the popular tablet computer is art. Leo Burnett’s creative director, K V Sridhar is one of many artists who have put the device to good use. Better known as Pops, Sridhar displayed his first 28 iPad-created masterpieces at the Scarecrow Art Gallery in Mumbai, India.
In a video below Pops explained that painting has always been a passion since his childhood. He even thanked Steve Jobs for inventing the iPad as he now can paint anywhere without bringing cumbersome paper, paint, and brushes with him.
Pops’ is currently displaying his paintings, which were created on the iPad and then printed on canvas. They are marked by stark, definite forms in primary colors, displaying the facial expressions of women. The exhibit, appropriately called iPops, will show his iPad paintings until the end of June.
