Tesla will introduce a city navigation feature to its driving assistance software in China, sources said on Feb. 24.

The update will enhance Tesla’s autopilot system, allowing vehicles to assist drivers on urban roads.

However, it will be a less advanced version than the full self-driving feature in the US due to limited data on Chinese roads and traffic rules.

A notification about the update briefly appeared on Tesla China’s platform but was retracted shortly after.

Sources confirmed its authenticity, stating it was released prematurely.

Tesla has not commented on the situation.
