Samsung delays smart glasses launch, focuses on partnership
Samsung Electronics has announced that its anticipated smart glasses will not debut in 2025.
Hyesoon Jeong, executive vice president and head of framework research and development, shared this after a brief showcase of the device during the Unpacked event in San Jose, California.
The augmented reality glasses were displayed as an icon, with no additional details provided.
Jeong emphasized that the glasses will be launched “when they’re ready.”
The smart glasses are part of Samsung’s collaboration with Google on the Android XR operating system.
Despite entering the augmented reality wearables market, Samsung remains focused on its partnership with Google.
