Samsung Galaxy S25 series launches with AI enhancements
Samsung Electronics has launched its Galaxy S25 series, including the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, priced at US$799, US$999, and US$1,299, respectively.
Preorders began on Jan. 22, with official availability set for Feb. 7.
This release follows a challenging year for Samsung, with smartphone shipments declining by 2.7% year-on-year in Q4 2024, according to International Data Corporation (IDC).
The S25 series features enhanced AI capabilities for multitasking and compatibility with apps like Spotify, WhatsApp, and Google services.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the devices offer improved AI performance and energy efficiency.
Despite strong competition from Apple and Chinese brands, AI is seen as a key differentiator, though analysts suggest the incremental upgrades may not drive major consumer interest.
