Amazon CEO refutes layoffs in office return policy

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has refuted claims that the company’s return-to-office policy aims to cut the workforce, stating it is meant to strengthen the company’s culture.

In September, Amazon announced that employees would return to a five-day office schedule starting January 2, 2025, after previously requiring three days a week in the office.

Some had speculated that this change might lead to layoffs.
