ZipMatch takes property listings to whole new level with project reviews

As more and more consumers take their real estate journeys to the web, property listing sites have sprung up one after another, rushing to get a share of the pie.

If you’re one of these sites and you’re fighting for space in the crowded marketplace, how do you stand out? You try to get as many brokers as possible to list on your site, you make users’ searches easy breezy by providing the most filters, and you put out the most enticing photos.

ZipMatch is taking the competition to a whole new level. The company just launched a feature on its site that will “explore” real estate projects, including condominiums and houses and lots, down to the minute details in an attempt to give home hunters comprehensive and honest reviews.

ZipMatch will cover projects in major cities across the country, with Taguig, home to the Bonifacio Global business district, being the first.

“We want to build the content per project instead of going listing by listing. We’re sending out a team to collect information on every single project in the Philippines. We go out there, we do all the hard work,” says Kyle Wiltshire, ZipMatch chief technology officer.

Site features

The ZipMatch team recognizes how tedious it is for home hunters to find the right property that matches their needs. Information is often too general or incomplete, while photos are recycled.

They want to change all that by offering home buyers every detail there is to know about a project – from the number of buildings, unit types, and amenities down to the cable provider and the kind of cooktop allowed. High-resolution photos are available, as well as a 360-degree view of the surroundings. There’s also a map showing projects and establishments nearby.

The best feature of all is the project rating. An initial rating is provided by a team sent out by ZipMatch to conduct the review, but the site also crowdsources reviews from others, such as the brokers and residents themselves.

“We want to begin a conversation,” ZipMatch co-founder and chief revenue officer Chow Paredes says. “Collectively, each stakeholder – current residents, sales agents, brokers, potential buyers – can create the most accurate picture of a property.”

She says their goal is to present all options available to consumers so they can make the right decision. “In order to get your money’s worth, you have to see the value a property offers.”
