Zilingo taps Deloitte for harassment probe

Fashion ecommerce firm Zilingo has hired Deloitte to investigate co-founder and CEO Ankiti Bose’s harassment complaint, reported The Economic Times, citing sources.

Last Friday, Deloitte reportedly asked Bose for relevant documents regarding her accusation against an investor.

Bose’s suspension, scheduled to end today, follows a probe into alleged accounting discrepancies. She maintains that this move is connected to her harassment complaint, but Zilingo’s board has denied this.

The firm has also reportedly suspended its global head for public relations and communications, Naushaba Salahuddin. She said that this happened after she called out a Zilingo representative’s unvetted media statement. Salahuddin is also the firm’s presiding officer for its prevention of sexual harassment committee.

Just last week, Bose sent a legal notice to Zilingo’s board containing allegations of harassment and abuse. Bose has also accused two company executives of keeping mum about her complaints.
