Zilingo may replace CEO after suspension

Zilingo, a Singapore-based fashion ecommerce major, is looking to replace its currently suspended CEO Ankiti Bose for good after the company’s fundraising plans drew questions into the firm’s accounting practices, Bloomberg reported, citing sources briefed on the matter.

The company’s directors have reportedly been having regular discussions regarding the future of Bose and Zilingo itself. Currently, private investigative firm Kroll is looking into the ecommerce platform’s bookkeeping.

Bose, whose suspension is slated until May 5, could potentially be replaced by interim leadership, which may be senior executives and investors. She has pressed the board to clarify her status as she is concerned that the company is growing directionless.

While Bose said she is “fully committed” to cooperating with the board in the investigations, she has denied any wrongdoing. She has also hired an attorney to defend herself against what they have described as a “witch hunt.”
