Naushaba Salahuddin, Zilingo‘s global head for public relations and communications, has resigned from the company. The executive announced the move in a LinkedIn post on Monday.

The development comes days after Ankiti Bose, the CEO of the troubled fashion ecommerce firm, was terminated amid allegations of serious financial irregularities.
In her post, Salahuddin alleged that several individuals who are now in control of the company have possibly made “misleading and damaging statements.” There may also have been “several breaches of due process in the current goings-on in this matter which I cannot support or stand by,” she added.
“I have faith that the truth will still prevail,” she said, noting that several other individuals may be coming under threat and duress for standing by the truth.
In early May, Tech in Asia wrote that Salahuddin was reportedly suspended. But it was unclear if the board had suspended her employment or revoked access to her company emails.
Sequoia-backed Zilingo has been embroiled in controversy after it reportedly started gauging investors to raise up to US$200 million, which triggered a probe into business transactions across its platform.
The B2B fashion startup was founded in 2015 by Bose and Dhruv Kapoor, who also serves as chief technology and product officer. Zilingo’s last fundraise was in 2019, when it secured US$226 million.
