Multiply’s Saya Peduli Program Aims to Help Jakarta Flood Victims

multiply saya peduli

Indonesian e-commerce site Multiply is holding a charity program to help those affected by the Jakarta floods which rose up a few days ago and which still submerge parts of the city. The program is called Saya Peduli (meaning “I care”) and it invites netizens to donate money and have it distributed to the needy through Indonesian nonprofit organization Dompet Dhuafa.

Users can donate anything upwards of IDR 50,000 ($5.20) and make the payment using either credit card, KlikBCA, BCA ATM, Mandiri ClickPay, Mandiri ATM, or XL Tunai. Multiply country manager Daniel Tumiwa said that the they hope to continue to develop the Saya Peduli program so that they can provide more help to those in need, not only for the current Jakarta flood victims.

Another online store, Zalora Indonesia, also held a charity program a few days ago called Zalora Fashion Fights the Flood – You Buy One, We Give One. The program ran for three days and the donations were given to the victims this weekend.

Multiply’s Saya Peduli program itself runs until January 31st. For those who wish to help, you can do so on SayaPeduli.Multiply.com. Our condolences to all the victims of the floods, and we hope that all those affected can receive the help they need as soon as possible.
