World of Tanks WGL APAC grand finals will take place in heart of eSports, Seoul

The Wargaming.net League for Asia is finally at its tail end. Wargaming today announced the World of Tanks Wargaming.net League Asia-Pacific (WGL APAC) Season 1 Grand Finals, which will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from July 18 to 19, 2014. The showdown will take place in the city’s flagship eSports venue, the Yongsan eSports Stadium.

At the WGL APAC grand finals, Philippines/New Zealand team PVP Superfriends, Team Efficiency of mixed-nationality-effectiveness, and WGL Korea’s top team ARETE will square off against each other to see who really deserves the Asia-Pacific championship and a whopping first-place cash prize of $60,000.

First and second runner-ups of the WGL APAC grand finals will receive $20,000 and $8,500 respectively, amounts that fall far short of what the best team will get.

As with all great eSports events, the WGL APAC Season 1 Grand Finals will have multiple live streams in both Korean and English. The matches will be broadcast on July 18 from 11:00 A.M. to 2:20 P.M. and on July 19 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.. All times are in GMT +8.

The Korean streams you can watch are on OGN (cable tv and day two only), Twitch, DaumTVPot, AfreecaTV, PandoraTV and Tving, which is only for mobile. English-speaking World of Tanks fans can catch the matches in English on Wargaming Asia’s Twitch channel.
