In brief: Malaysian job portal Wobb raises $1.3m in pre-series A round
- Wobb has announced a pre-series A investment of US$1.3 million from CAC Capital Investment Limited Partnership, Accord Ventures Inc., and Actcelerate International Group Ltd., Digital News Asia reported.
- The funds raised will be used to accelerate growth and capture market share, with the company’s immediate goal being to dominate Generation Y hiring in Asia.
- The company also plans to enhance its tech-enabled recruitment service Hiredly.com to be the largest community of young talent in Asia while providing a concierge-style recruitment experience for employers.
- Wobb currently operates in Malaysia, with an online presence in Manila and an Indonesia presence set for 2020.
