The 13 winners for the SiTF Awards 2011 has been announced in a ceremony held on the evening of August 2. The awards, organized by the Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), recognizes innovative infocomm-technologies applications developed in Singapore.
YFind Technologies, founded a year ago, won the startup category with its indoor-positioning platform that allows applications based on it to navigate in an indoor setting. Users can find out exactly where they or their friends are in a building — a function that GPS cannot perform.
For the cloud technology category, the winner is software and services company m9 Tech Solutions and its flagship product, Oystor, a cloud-based information management software. The company was founded in June this year and has about 2,700 registered users so far.
