East Ventures leads Indonesian sustainable proptech firm’s seed round
Indonesia-based Kabina, a construction startup focused on sustainability, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding in a round led by East Ventures. The round also saw participation from angel investors such as Indonesian model and actress Sandra Dewi, who will also serve as Kabina’s brand ambassador.

Founded in 2020 by its CEO Fred Moeis, Kabina simplifies the building process through prefabrication and modular construction. It also uses wood from sustainable sources as its main material. Since its inception, the company has grown to have 16 employees, 65% of which are women.
With the fresh funds, the startup will invest in product development and talent acquisition. It also plans to launch new offerings such as Kabina Market, an outdoor retail space, and Kabina Life, a SaaS solution for property management.
Kabina joins a growing list of proptech companies in East Ventures’ portfolio. Last month, the Indonesia-based VC firm led the pre-seed round of Amoda, a construction tech startup that offers prefabricated building solutions.
