Digital marketing continues to evolve, posing more challenges for marketers and businesses. In this article, we gathered and looked into all the trends for 2017, including updates from Google and other industry-related news, and came up with a list of what works now in the digital marketing realm.
Here’s a quick guide to help you stay ahead of the game. Knowing is half the battle!
1. Don’t just follow industry experts. Talk to them.
We often find ourselves following industry experts without asking them the questions that we need to ask. But I believe that we don’t get because we don’t ask, as the saying goes. Ask experts those digital marketing questions that are bothering you to find the answers. It is also a good way to promote your brand.

2. Experiment with new technologies.
Google recently came up with a lot of tools that help users understand the customer journey, monitor website traffic better, and make use of APIs. You might want to check out and experiment with Google Tag Manager, Accelerated Mobile Page, and Google API Console. Experimentation is one of the biggest secrets of SEO experts and this is how you can find trends and discover workarounds and improvements on the websites that you manage.
3. Create case studies and publish.
Now that you have data, share it with the industry by publishing a case study. By sharing the results of your experiments this way, you allow your audience to evaluate your methods and results, you gain valuable opinion from industry experts, and help readers learn from your success and mistakes.
