Caveboy Escape (iOS)

I was planning to review Caveboy Escape and then be done with it, but unfortunately Caveboy has hooked me and won’t let go. Caveboy is cool little puzzle game with a unique style and a great concept, it also features a particularly cute a protagonist. Honestly I wanted to hate this game, but I couldn’t, how can anyone hate that caveboy protagonist? What’s more Caveboy Escape is crazily addictive, so if you have a problem with putting down your iPad and going to sleep, prepare for a long week!

Bastion (PC)

My current runthrough with Bastion is enjoyable on so many levels. As a gamer I loved the challenge the game presents and allows me to be creative with my weapon choices and pushes my reflexes to be as responsive. As a writer, I loved how the games narrative comes alive with the way the narrator tells the “kid’s” story as you progress through the game. I loved how the dilemma presents itself as the kid tries to make a future for himself after the calamity or rewind time and see if they can prevent it from happening. I loved the way the game makes you both the one actively participating and a passive listener at the same time.
