A few weeks ago, we shared a visualization of generative AI startups organized by use case, but there’s more than one way to illustrate how this sector is expanding.

This graphic from Ether Siim, a crypto and blockchain analytics firm, maps companies in the space according to how their products work. This includes text-to-text generators like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, audio-to-text converters like Descript, and text-to-NFT startup LensAI.

This goes some way to showing how sprawling the AI sector is becoming.
