Want to save time and money on graphic design? Use AI

The seemingly inexorable rise of AI has led some to fear that their jobs are in danger. But the technology is also helping people to be more productive.

As the graphic above from investment management firm Ark Invest shows, AI can bring a lot to the table for knowledge workers. Per data from Github, a human working with an AI-powered coding assistant can complete a coding task 55% faster than a human would if they were working alone.

The graphic, taken from Ark Invest’s Big Ideas 2023 report, also shows how much faster and cheaper it is to use generative AI platforms for graphic design tasks compared to their human counterparts. No wonder some artists are scared.
