The collaboration will give Pops users in Vietnam and Thailand access to games by Storms without needing to download individual apps.

This will add to the Vietnamese company’s catalogue of digital-first content, including music, gamified learning, and entertainment. In 2019, the company announced the launch of the Pops App, where its users can stream free content such as original series and shows.

Founded in 2007, Pops Worldwide works with brands and creators globally, aggregating digital content for its mainly Southeast Asian audience. To date, the firm said it has over 441 million “fans” and gathers 226 billion views annually.

“We note that mobile gaming accounted for over 70% of the local game industry’s revenue in Thailand, indicating a huge appetite for gaming content on mobile devices in the country,” said Pops Worldwide CEO Esther Nguyen.

The announcement comes as the company plans to raise a US$50 million series D round by the third quarter of 2021 to fuel its expansion in the region. Pops previously told Tech in Asia that it was eyeing to launch an office in Japan and to enter the Philippines by 2022.
