The Built Environment Accelerate to Market Program (BE-AMP) has set aside S$6 million (US$4.4 million) to support the development and commercialization of “innovative solutions” through Enterprise Singapore’s Gov-PACT initiative.
BE-AMP is an initiative by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), supported by government agency Enterprise Singapore and JTC Corporation. TNB Ventures has been appointed as the program’s accelerator partner.
The project aims to bring inventors and companies together to fast-track the innovation process to solve real-world industry challenges.
In addition to funding, BCA is working closely with Enterprise Singapore to connect solution providers – including startups – with built-environment companies.
State-owned real estate company JTC will offer spaces in selected buildings and estates to collaborators to test-bed or pilot their new solutions.
A total of 16 challenge statements has been revealed, spanning across topics such as smart project management and facilities management, construction manufacturing and fabrication, building inspections, knowledge management and data capture, and construction safety.
Solution providers and innovators can submit their proposals until April 12, 2019.
