Indian robotics education startup rakes in $3m in funding

India-based edtech startup SP Robotic Works has raised US$3 million in fresh funding to expand its user base and bolster its product portfolio.

  • The company’s online classes are delivered via Sparky, a personalized AI-powered teacher.
  • The Chennai-based firm has operations in 14 countries, including Singapore, Thailand, Australia, and Mauritius.
  • India’s online education market for the K-12 segment, which SP Robotics targets, is likely to grow over 6x from US$269 million in 2019 to US$1.7 billion by 2022, according to a RedSeer report.
